Prevent the incidents that change lives forever

Every Statistic Has a Name.

Because workplace tragedies are preventable, and the people we lose are more than statistics.

Justin's Story

Justin Yellott on a carousel with his daughter Mia

He Was 27 Years Old.

My husband Justin didn't know the exposure existed. He was brilliant, compassionate, and deeply committed to the people around him. He was a father, a son, a friend, and someone who made every room better.

On March 25, 2004, a workplace hazard no one had named took his life.

What I learned in the years that followed changed everything I thought I knew about safety. It isn't just about compliance. It isn't about checklists or audits or annual training. It's about whether the people who see risk every day feel safe enough to say something — and whether the leaders above them are actually listening.

Losing Justin revealed what statistics often hide: behind every workplace injury or fatality is a family whose life will never be the same.

That loss became the reason for my life's work.

BECAUSE EVERY WORKER DESERVES TO GO HOME.

The Justin Initiative exists to help organizations build cultures where people speak up, leaders take action, and risks are addressed before harm occurs.

Why this work matters

Safety Isn't a Program. It's a Promise.

We don't share best practices and leave. We come to listen — to understand how work actually happens, where pressure builds quietly, and where your people are absorbing risk that leaders can't see from the top.

Every life lost to a preventable incident represents a failure of systems, culture, and leadership — not just an individual's bad day. The Justin Initiative was founded on the belief that this is fixable. That organizations can be built differently. That leaders can be developed who take safety personally, not just procedurally.

Three belief Pillars

Every worker has a name.

Leaders set the culture, not HR.

Every worker has a name.

Behind every injury rate and incident log is a human being with a family. We never let organizations forget that.

Speaking up saves lives.

Leaders set the culture, not HR.

Every worker has a name.

Psychological safety isn't a soft skill — it's a survival mechanism. When people feel safe to raise concerns, harm is prevented before it happens.

Leaders set the culture, not HR.

Leaders set the culture, not HR.

Leaders set the culture, not HR.

Safety culture lives and dies with leadership behavior. Real change starts at the top and is felt at the front line.

From Advocacy to Action

The Justin Initiative brings Justin's story — and the hard lessons behind it — directly into organizations through keynote speaking, leadership workshops, and safety culture advocacy.

For organizations seeking deeper strategic support, consulting engagements, and executive coaching, that work is led through Aron Yellott Consulting.
